> Their purchases totaled £756,312.10. IG's July forecast used a different revenue measure from its October outlook.

IG Group CEO Breon Corcoran and Chief Financial Officer Clifford Abrahams bought a combined 80,000 shares worth £756,312.10 after the London-listed trading firm revised its 2026 revenue-growth outlook in October.

Corcoran accounted for 70,000 shares and £661,913 of the total. He bought 30,000 shares at £9.45 apiece on Oct. 23, followed by 40,000 shares on Oct. 26 for £378,413, at a weighted average of £9.460325 each. The second day's total comprised two separate 20,000-share purchases, one priced at £9.45779 and the other at £9.46286.

Abrahams purchased 10,000 shares on Oct. 23 at £9.43991 each, totaling £94,399.10. The purchases took place on the London Stock Exchange, and no reason was disclosed for either executive's transaction.

Details of Corcoran's purchases became public at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) on Oct. 27. Abrahams' Oct. 23 purchase was disclosed Oct. 26.

IG revised its 2026 outlook on Oct. 2, projecting mid-single-digit year-over-year growth in Group total revenue. The firm tied the change to weaker over-the-counter (OTC) revenue retention. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, it estimated revenue of about £240 million, down about 14% from the same period a year earlier.

IG put OTC revenue retention at about 70% for Q3 2026, below the roughly 80% average from when market-making optimization measures began in the second half of 2025 through Q3 2026. The 70% figure describes retention, while the 14% decline refers to quarterly revenue.

July's forecast called for 10%-15% growth in organic total revenue, excluding Freetrade and Independent Reserve, from a 2025 base of about £1.1 billion. That is a different measure from October's outlook for Group total revenue, so the forecasts are not directly comparable. July specified a numerical growth range, while October described growth as mid-single-digit without a narrower percentage.

“Growth in first trades and active customers remained strong in Q3 2026. Lower Q3 revenue reflected reduced OTC revenue retention in less supportive market conditions, and I remain confident in meeting our medium-term guidance,” Corcoran said.
