> CMT Digital led the round, which combines primary and secondary capital. Luxor plans to fund cloud services, AI hardware, trading and hiring.

Luxor Technology announced a $16 million strategic round led by CMT Digital on Oct. 27, financing a broader push into cloud services, AI hardware and markets tied to computing capacity.

Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead and additional angel investors participated. The round includes primary and secondary capital, but Luxor has not disclosed how much is in each portion.

Proceeds are earmarked for cloud-platform growth, AI hardware working capital, a larger compute-derivatives and market-making operation, and additional engineering and go-to-market hires. The plans span software services, equipment and financial products linked to computing capacity.

The round follows Luxor’s earlier move into [AI infrastructure](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/23877>). The company announced Luxor AI on Sept. 24, extending work across energy, hardware, software and compute trading into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Luxor AI combines GPU and AI equipment procurement with compute trading, agentic services from Tenki Cloud, and data and research.

Luxor’s agentic cloud platform reached 1.8 million workloads year to date as of September 2026. Its hardware brokerage has traded $1 billion in ASIC hardware, while its energy business serves more than 75 megawatts of load across ERCOT and SPP.

The company’s OTC business provides cash-settled options, forwards and backstops linked to indexes for compute rentals. “Compute markets are converging,” said Nick Hansen, Luxor’s co-founder and CEO.
