> The well reached 2,175 meters and yielded 62 meters of core; the company has not reported a hydrogen concentration or flow measurement.

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF) says its Lawson 5 well in Saskatchewan encountered geology it associates with natural hydrogen, marking a 30-kilometer step-out from its original Lawson discovery.

The well reached 2,175 meters and was cased, with 62 meters of core recovered for analysis. MAX Power described iron-redox activity, alteration, serpentinization and strong hematite oxidation in the lowermost Deadwood and Precambrian basement complex. It linked those features to elevated hydrogen along sub-vertical faults.

The company has not reported a hydrogen concentration or flow result for Lawson 5. Drilling is underway at Lawson 6, about eight kilometers southeast of Lawson 5.

Completion work has begun at Bracken, and MAX Power expects crews to start testing the Lawson Complex during the week of Nov. 2. The work is expected to assess gas concentrations, flow and volume. MAX Power Chief Geoscientist Steve Halabura said further drilling and geophysical work will determine whether Lawson 5 is a separate system or connected to the Lawson Complex.
