Nomura Holdings’ net income attributable to shareholders rose 13% year over year to ¥103.7 billion in its fiscal second quarter, covering July through September 2026. Wealth Management led the annual growth, while consolidated net revenue and income before income taxes also increased from a year earlier. All three consolidated measures fell from the previous quarter.

Net revenue was ¥607.5 billion, up 18% year over year. Income before income taxes reached ¥148.0 billion, an 8% increase. The quarter was the second of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.

Wealth Management revenue rose 22% from a year earlier to ¥141.5 billion, and pretax income climbed 44% to ¥65.6 billion. The division also set records in recurring revenue and net additions to recurring-revenue assets. Recurring revenue reached ¥66.7 billion, while net additions to those assets totaled ¥755.4 billion.

Results in the other divisions varied. Investment Management revenue increased 39% year over year to ¥84.8 billion, but pretax income fell 11% to ¥27.4 billion. Nomura declared an interim dividend of ¥35 per share, compared with ¥27 per share a year earlier.
