> Net income attributable to Del Monte was $18.3 million, compared with a loss a year earlier. Long-term debt reached $482.5 million at quarter-end.

Del Monte Corporation’s fiscal third-quarter sales climbed 7.2% to $1.0953 billion, but adjusted diluted earnings per share fell to $0.50 as net income returned to positive territory.

The quarter ended Sept. 25, 2026. Net income attributable to Del Monte was $18.3 million, compared with a $29.1 million loss in the year-earlier quarter. Operating income was $29.1 million, versus an operating loss of $21.8 million a year earlier.

Diluted EPS was $0.39, compared with a loss of $0.61 per share in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted diluted EPS, a non-GAAP measure, declined from $0.69.

Prepared Foods generated $261.2 million in net sales and $45.8 million in gross profit, a 17.5% gross margin. The Banana segment recorded $313.3 million in net sales and a $2.7 million gross loss. Del Monte cited lower banana volume, competition and supply constraints in the Middle East as factors affecting the segment. It also cited about $6.1 million in additional Costa Rica production costs to prevent Black Sigatoka.

Del Monte completed its acquisition of select assets from the separate Del Monte Foods business on March 19 for approximately $285 million. Long-term debt was $482.5 million on Sept. 25, up from $173 million at the end of 2025. The company attributed the increase primarily to acquisition financing and inventory buildup.

“Our third-quarter results provide clear evidence of the strategic and financial value of our expanded Del Monte portfolio,” Chairman and CEO Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh said.
