> The company expects tight memory supply through 2028 and plans to have its board finalize the remaining 2026 shareholder-return amount and execution details in late January 2027.

Samsung Electronics is targeting multi-year supply contracts for 60% to 70% of its mid- to long-term capacity by 2030 and expects tight memory supply through 2028 as it expands sales of server memory and storage products.

Samsung plans to use longer agreements to establish a steadier sales base. For 2027, it expects AI infrastructure investment to reach a record level and demand to exceed industry supply.

During the fourth quarter, the company plans to increase sales of high-bandwidth memory (HBM), server dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and solid-state drives (SSDs). It also plans to raise supplies of high-speed server DDR5 and QLC SSDs. Samsung expects memory demand to center on products for new CPU and GPU platforms, while demand for QLC SSDs is tied to the expansion of personal AI-agent services.

Samsung Electronics posted consolidated revenue of 195.3 trillion won and operating profit of 107.4 trillion won for the third quarter, extending its run of quarterly records for both measures to four consecutive quarters. Its third-quarter results and [cash dividend announcement](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/43121>) included a dividend of 4,601 won per common and preferred share, totaling about 30 trillion won.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division, which handles the company’s chip business, generated 147.1 trillion won in revenue and 106.5 trillion won in operating profit, or 99% of Samsung’s total operating profit. Samsung expanded HBM4 sales amid strong server demand and responded to rising demand for server SSDs. Its foundry business also improved revenue and operating profit as sales of HBM base dies and advanced-process chips grew.

The Device eXperience (DX) Division posted an operating loss of 0.8 trillion won as revenue rose 8% from the previous quarter. The division includes Samsung’s consumer electronics and mobile operations.

Samsung’s 2026 shareholder-return plan totals 90 trillion to 110 trillion won. Its board is expected to finalize the amount and execution details for the remaining 55 trillion to 75 trillion won at a meeting in late January 2027.
