> Quarterly revenue reached $34.278 million, while EBIT margin rose to 20.6% from 8.5% a year earlier.

Smartoptics Group ASA reported third-quarter revenue of $34.278 million, an 80.4% year-over-year increase, while maintaining its aspiration to grow revenue to $300 million to $400 million or more over time.

The company did not set a year for reaching the revenue range. Its retained aspirations also call for average annual growth above 25% from 2026 and an EBIT margin above 16% in the second half of its planning period.

Operating profit, or EBIT, was $7.077 million for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with $1.610 million a year earlier. EBIT margin rose to 20.6% from 8.5%, while gross margin held at 49.5% in both periods.

“The third quarter was the strongest in Smartoptics' history,” CEO Magnus Grenfeldt said.

Revenue over the four quarters through September reached about $109 million, exceeding the $100 million target set when Smartoptics listed in 2021. The company’s quarterly operating cash flow was $7.616 million, compared with negative $425,000 in the year-earlier quarter.

Smartoptics increased its Nordea credit facility to the equivalent of $20.8 million. The facility was undrawn as of Sept. 30.

Smartoptics provides optical networking solutions and devices for open networking. AI infrastructure, data center interconnect, network modernization, broadband and financial services are among the areas driving demand for optical networking.

The company scheduled its Q3 results presentation for 3 a.m. ET (0700 UTC) Thursday, Oct. 29.
