> The company expects net interest margin to stay flat over the next few quarters as excess Capital One deposits add about $700 million to average cash assets.

Axos Financial, Inc. expects organic lending to expand at a low-to-mid-teens rate in fiscal 2027, excluding acquisitions, while net interest margin remains flat over the next few quarters. The company said its loan outlook reflects strong demand.

Excess deposits from Capital One are adding about $700 million to average cash assets and weighing on margin in the near term. Axos expects to put most of that liquidity to work by the end of calendar 2026.

Net charge-offs reached 109 basis points, up from 25 basis points in the previous quarter. Axos described the losses as isolated and tied to syndicated cash-flow loans for which it had previously reserved funds.

Garrabrants said six measures each grew by double digits year over year: net interest income, noninterest income, period-end loans, deposits, earnings per share and book value per share.
