> The company also increased its adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow forecasts, while Environmental Solutions grew revenue and expanded its margin.

Republic Services raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $17.425 billion to $17.475 billion, with higher fuel recovery fees accounting for most of the increase. The company also increased its adjusted EBITDA forecast to $5.550 billion to $5.575 billion and its adjusted free cash flow outlook to $2.565 billion to $2.585 billion.

Environmental Solutions organic revenue grew 21%, including revenue from large emergency-response jobs. Excluding those jobs, organic revenue increased about 9%. The segment’s adjusted EBITDA margin rose 440 basis points to 25.4%.

Management cautioned against drawing too much from a single quarter’s results. President and CEO Jon Vander Ark said, “We delivered another strong quarter of results, driven by disciplined pricing and improving volume trends while successfully overcoming elevated diesel fuel costs.”

Republic Services said it remains on pace to generate $100 million in run-rate EBITDA from AI initiatives by the end of 2028. Management expects AI-enabled routing to be the initiative’s largest opportunity.
