Capstone Copper expects to make a final investment decision on its Santo Domingo project in Chile in Q1 2027, later than the Q4 2026 target previously outlined for the development.

Capstone forecast net leverage near 0.2x after the Cozamin sale closes.

Santo Domingo’s initial capital cost estimate is $2.3 billion. Capstone is updating that estimate. The project was included in a Chile investment program valued at more than $3 billion, detailed in [Capstone’s earlier Chile investment plan](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/42266>).

The fully permitted copper and iron project is in Chile’s Atacama region, about 35 kilometers northeast of Mantoverde. The current mine plan spans more than 19 years, with average annual copper output of 106,000 metric tons over the first seven years.
