> Intuit purchased $6.2 billion in business-loan principal from its originating bank partner, but Todd Denbo did not define how that compares with the lending total.

Intuit’s lending chief said annual lending rose to almost $7 billion in fiscal 2026. Separately, Intuit purchased $6.2 billion in business-loan principal from its bank partner that year.

Todd Denbo, Intuit’s senior vice president of lending and commercial leader of Money, discussed the business at Intuit Connect, held Oct. 26-28 in Las Vegas. He said annual lending had risen from about $400 million four years earlier. Denbo did not define the nearly $7 billion measure, so it cannot be directly compared with the loan-purchase total.

Denbo pointed to visibility into businesses’ finances as part of Intuit’s lending approach. “We can see the expenses you’ve got queued up,” he said. Intuit offers term loans and a QuickBooks line of credit through an originating bank partner.

The $6.2 billion figure covers principal on business loans Intuit purchased during the fiscal year ended July 31, 2026. That was up from $3.5 billion in fiscal 2025 and $1.8 billion in fiscal 2024. The business-loan purchase figure tracks purchases over a fiscal year, while other figures describe loans held or sold.

As of July 31, business loans held for investment totaled $1.5 billion after the credit-loss allowance. During fiscal 2026, Intuit sold participation interests in loans with $2.1 billion in unpaid principal. The year’s business-loan charge-offs were $185 million, recoveries were $20 million, and the allowance for business-loan credit losses stood at $134 million at fiscal year-end.
