> The Oct. 26 fall update describes the agent, while a separate manufacturing track adds inventory tools. Contractor billing and retainage workflows are in beta.

Intuit’s Oct. 26 fall update describes a Work in Progress (WIP) Agent for construction businesses, a tool in Intuit Enterprise Suite that updates cost forecasts and drafts journal entries for staff approval.

The agent also updates work-in-progress calculations and prepares draft entries for overbilling or underbilling. Staff can review and approve each entry. Contractor billing and retainage workflows are also part of the construction update, and those features are in beta.

The manufacturing tools cover inventory across multiple locations, serial and lot tracking, and landed-cost accounting. Additional manufacturing capabilities and nonprofit features are listed as coming soon. These functions are separate from the construction accounting workflows described in the same fall update.

Intuit Enterprise Suite targets midmarket businesses and supports multi-entity consolidation, custom controls and expanded reporting. The broader platform effort connects tools for businesses and accounting firms, groups included in the company’s rollout of the new capabilities.

Intuit announced broader Enterprise Suite industry capabilities on Oct. 27. The capabilities are rolling out to U.S.-based businesses and accounting firms, with availability varying by feature; not every feature was available on Oct. 26.

Intuit Chairman and CEO Sasan Goodarzi described Intuit Intelligence as “combining trusted data, deep expertise, AI, and human intelligence.”

The construction WIP Agent is separate from the [Agentic Books Close pilot in Intuit Accountant Suite](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/44033>), which focuses on monthly close work for a limited group of firms.
