KuCoin announced that it and Zumo signed a memorandum of understanding to explore post-quantum financial infrastructure, including tokenized deposits, payments and a proposed quantum-resistant GBP stablecoin.

The plan includes developing the stablecoin, with any implementation subject to regulatory requirements. The agreement also covers tokenized deposits and payment systems.

The U.K.'s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has migration targets in 2028, 2031 and 2035 for post-quantum security.
