Stellantis said Nov. 2 that a supplier shortage of a component used in the N3 GSE engine control unit is disrupting some Fiat production in Italy and could trigger further stops through December.

The shortage affected Fiat’s October 2026 sales volumes and market share, particularly for the Fiat Pandina. Stellantis gave no figures for the impact.

Supply problems could continue during November and December 2026. Further interruptions remain possible at the Pandina plant in Pomigliano d’Arco and Fiat 500 production at Mirafiori. Reduced output could also lead to temporary suspensions at some Italian plants that make engine components.

Stellantis said it and Fiat are prioritizing alternative solutions and working toward a gradual return to normal operations.
