> The segment grew 148% year over year as Palantir raised its 2026 revenue outlook to about $8.53 billion.

Palantir’s U.S. commercial operation generated $984 million in third-quarter revenue, a 148% gain from the year-earlier period. That put the unit ahead of U.S. government revenue for the first time. The government business brought in $953 million, up 96%, leaving a gap of about $31 million between the reported totals.

In the second quarter, commercial revenue was $764 million, up 149% from a year earlier, while government revenue was $809 million, up 90%. The government side then held a $45 million lead. From Q2 to Q3, commercial revenue increased by $220 million and government revenue by $144 million, turning that lead into a $31 million commercial advantage. The change amounts to a $76 million swing in the relative size of the two segments. Commercial growth was nearly level with Q2, while the government growth rate rose by six percentage points.

Companywide revenue reached $2.31 billion, close to twice the year-earlier amount and about $375 million above Q2’s $1.935 billion. That quarter-to-quarter increase was roughly 19%. Q3 revenue also exceeded Palantir’s earlier forecast of $2.160 billion to $2.164 billion, topping the high end by about $146 million. The [earlier Q3 revenue outlook](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/44747>) set the comparison range.

Net income climbed to $1.13 billion from about $476 million a year earlier, more than doubling. The U.S. commercial and government units generated $1.937 billion combined, about 84% of total revenue based on rounded figures. The $2.31 billion total covers all of Palantir’s reported business, while the two segment figures are limited to U.S. commercial and government sales. Their combined scale puts the crossover in context within quarterly sales.

Palantir raised its 2026 revenue forecast to about $8.53 billion. It expects U.S. commercial revenue to exceed $3.56 billion, up from an earlier threshold of more than $3.424 billion. The [earlier full-year forecast](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/45829>) called for total revenue of $8.150 billion to $8.158 billion. The U.S. commercial threshold increased.

The segment threshold covers U.S. commercial sales, while the wider range covers revenue across the company. For the fourth quarter, Palantir expects revenue of about $2.65 billion.
