> Platform revenue rose 23%, while the devices segment’s gross loss widened as Roku cited elevated memory costs.

Roku posted $1.502 billion in third-quarter revenue and $183.3 million in net income, as growth in advertising and subscriptions lifted its platform business while higher memory costs pressured its devices segment.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 24% from $1.211 billion a year earlier. Net income increased from $24.8 million in the third quarter of 2025. Diluted earnings per share were $1.20, compared with 16 cents a year earlier.

Roku’s platform category combines advertising and subscription sales. It generated $1.308 billion in revenue, up 23% year over year. Advertising revenue rose 23% to $727.4 million, while subscription revenue also increased 23%, to $580.9 million.

The devices segment brought in $193.7 million, a 33% increase from the year-earlier quarter. Its gross loss widened to $48.6 million from $22.9 million, and its gross margin was negative 25.1%. Roku attributed the margin primarily to elevated memory costs.

Across both segments, total gross profit rose 24% to $648.5 million. The results show growth in Roku’s platform and device revenue alongside a larger gross loss in devices.

Roku released the results Monday, Nov. 2. The company said it would not hold an earnings call or provide a financial outlook while its proposed acquisition by Fox is pending. Roku said it remained on track with its previously disclosed second-half 2026 forecast, which was provided in a proxy statement.

“We delivered another strong quarter,” Roku founder and CEO Anthony Wood and CFO and COO Dan Jedda wrote in the shareholder letter.
