> The streaming company cut acquisition of lower-ARPU members and prioritized direct subscribers, who historically have lower churn.

Gaia Inc., a member-supported video-streaming and media company, posted $22.031 million in revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30. The figure was down 12% from $24.984 million in the same quarter last year. The lower sales came alongside a wider net loss.

Net loss attributable to common shareholders reached $3.018 million, compared with $1.153 million a year earlier. Diluted loss per share increased to $0.12 from $0.05. Gross margin was 85.2%, down from 86.4% in the year-ago quarter.

Gaia linked the revenue decline primarily to pulling back on acquisition of lower-ARPU members and focusing on direct subscribers. The company said direct subscribers have historically had lower churn, meaning they tend to cancel their memberships less often.

CEO Kiersten Medvedich said member churn improved by more than 20% between the first and third quarters.

CFO Ned Preston said revenue had settled at a quarterly run rate of about $21 million over the prior 60 days. Gaia expects positive free cash flow in the fourth quarter; that is a forecast, not a reported result.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at $7.104 million on Sept. 30, down from $13.540 million on Dec. 31, 2025. The company also had $7 million outstanding on its revolving credit line at quarter-end, compared with no balance at the end of 2025. Gaia’s Class A shares trade on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker GAIA.
