Kadant raised its 2026 adjusted earnings outlook after third-quarter revenue reached a record $313.2 million, up 15% from a year earlier at the industrial technology supplier.

Revenue for the quarter ended Oct. 3 was $313.160 million, compared with $271.567 million for the quarter ended Sept. 27, 2025. Adjusted diluted earnings per share, or EPS, rose 21% to $3.64 from $3.01. The adjusted figure is a non-GAAP measure, calculated using the company’s methodology. Diluted earnings under GAAP reached $2.96 per share, compared with $2.35 a year earlier.

Net income totaled $35.1 million, compared with $27.7 million a year earlier. Bookings increased 22% to $291.1 million from $238.4 million.

Kadant now expects 2026 adjusted EPS of $12.58 to $12.73, compared with its previous range of $12.43 to $12.68. Its full-year revenue forecast is $1.195 billion to $1.210 billion, versus an earlier range of $1.190 billion to $1.210 billion. The updated range raises the low end by $5 million and leaves the high end unchanged.

For the fourth quarter, Kadant forecast revenue of $287 million to $302 million and adjusted EPS of $2.67 to $2.82. The company supplies technologies and engineered systems for process industries and is based in Westford, Massachusetts.

Kadant Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey L. Powell said the company expected stable aftermarket demand and some improvement in project activity. He added that “the timing of large capital orders continues to be influenced by economic and geopolitical uncertainty.”
