Collaboration aims to integrate AIR’s credential infrastructure and Moca Chain with Fill Easy’s planned qualified trust services under the EU’s eIDAS framework

AIR, the core integration layer connecting applications and AI agents to Moca Chain’s identity infrastructure built by Animoca Brands, and Fill Easy today announced a strategic partnership to connect government-verified identity and corporate registry information from key Asia-Pacific markets with Europe’s qualified digital trust framework. The partnership will integrate AIR’s infrastructure with Fill Easy (Malta) Limited’s planned trust services as Fill Easy continues to pursue qualification under the European Union’s eIDAS framework.

Under the agreed operating framework, Fill Easy (Malta) Limited will pursue qualification as a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP), as well as the qualifications required to operate a Qualified Electronic Ledger (QEL) and issue Qualified Electronic Attestations of Attributes (QEAA). AIR will provide the integration tools for credential issuance and verification, including a wallet function through which users can consent to credential issuance. Once the required qualifications have been obtained, Fill Easy will use AIR to issue corresponding credentials on Moca Chain to users who have provided that consent. The partnership also aims to provide a pathway for credentials from other issuers in the AIR ecosystem to undergo the conformity assessments and supervisory review required for EU qualification.

QEAAs are digital credentials that attest to attributes of a person or organization under the EU’s eIDAS framework. When the digital credentials are issued by a qualified provider in accordance with QEAA, they are recognized across the EU and have the same legal effect as lawfully issued paper attestations.

The partnership aims to support the use of reusable, government-verified identity and company credentials for financial onboarding and KYC, corporate verification and KYB, and cross-border business and trade, drawing on Fill Easy’s experience with government and registry data across Asia-Pacific hubs, including Hong Kong. With their consent, individuals and businesses will be able to selectively disclose only relevant attributes, rather than repeatedly submitting full supporting documents that may contain unnecessary sensitive information to various companies. Financial institutions and other relying parties would retain responsibility for their own onboarding, verification, privacy and regulatory obligations.

Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, said: “Verified institutional trust becomes ever more critical as commerce evolves toward autonomous AI agents and borderless digital ecosystems. By connecting AIR with Fill Easy’s work on qualified trust services, we aim to help individuals and businesses use verified credentials across borders while allowing them to retain control over how and when they share them.”

Matthew Lee, co-founder and chief executive officer of Fill Easy, said: “The gap in cross-border onboarding is not a lack of data; it is turning reliable government and registry information into evidence trusted in another market. Through our partnership with AIR, our ambition is to make Fill Easy the bridge from Asia-Pacific’s verified identity and corporate data into Europe’s qualified digital trust framework. Working with AIR gives us a way to make that evidence available across applications and jurisdictions, with users retaining control over when their credentials are shared.”

The partnership will proceed through technical integration, conformity assessment, and the relevant regulatory qualification processes. The planned qualified services will be available only after those processes are completed.
