# EcoSynthetix Third-Quarter Sales Fall 38% as Net Loss Widens

EcoSynthetix Inc. posted a 38% drop in third-quarter sales to $3.65 million and a wider net loss as adoption of its bio-based materials proceeded more slowly than expected.

Net sales totaled $3,645,064 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, compared with $5,833,596 a year earlier. The figures are in U.S. dollars. EcoSynthetix released the results Nov. 3.

The quarterly net loss widened to $258,668 from $91,028. Under International Financial Reporting Standards, the company displayed both basic and diluted loss per share as ($0.00) after rounding. That rounded figure does not change the reported net loss.

EcoSynthetix makes bio-based materials for wood composites, paper and tissue. “However, the rate of adoption is clearly slower than we anticipated,” CEO Jeff MacDonald said of its biopolymers.

The company is scheduled to discuss the results on a conference call Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 8:30 a.m. ET.
