> The company will end new Max sales in November and move existing individual subscribers to a Super family plan at the same price.

Duolingo plans to make its AI-powered Video Call feature available to all Super subscribers by the end of 2026, broadening access as it phases out new sales of Duolingo Max. The company expects the subscription changes to have little effect on fourth-quarter bookings, and their impact is included in its outlook.

Unlimited Video Call access became available to new Super subscribers in the previous quarter. Duolingo plans to stop selling new Max subscriptions in November and move existing individual Max subscribers to a Super family plan at the same price. It expects to address options for existing Max family subscribers in 2027.

The company’s fourth-quarter forecast calls for $382 million in bookings, up 13% from a year earlier, and $84 million in adjusted EBITDA, a 26.1% margin. Revenue is projected at $322 million, up 14%. Duolingo expects a gross margin of 72%, down 90 basis points from the third quarter, as it expands AI-based features.

The outlook includes an additional accrual for the remaining portion of a company-wide daily active user performance bonus, as well as some expenses shifted from the third quarter. The forecast follows a quarter in which average daily active users reached 64.9 million, up 29% year over year. Paid subscribers totaled 13.1 million at quarter-end, a 14% increase.

Third-quarter bookings rose 12% to $316.1 million, while revenue increased 14% to $309 million. Duolingo’s [earlier full-year outlook update](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/business/48401>) raised its 2026 bookings and revenue targets.

Bookings include amounts received from subscriptions, advertising networks, the Duolingo English Test and in-app purchases. Subscription revenue is generally recognized over the subscription term, usually 12 months, so bookings can reflect cash-flow trends before they appear in revenue.
