> The company will keep a 30% stake and use $500 million in after-tax proceeds to reduce debt.

Kraft Heinz will sell its North American coffee business to One Rock Capital Partners in a deal valued at $650 million on an enterprise basis, while retaining a minority stake and using proceeds to reduce debt.

The company expects $500 million in after-tax cash proceeds from the transaction. It will keep a 30% noncontrolling equity stake in the business, which is expected to close in mid-2027.

The business includes Maxwell House and Gevalia. The sale comes as CEO Steve Cahillane focuses Kraft Heinz on its core brands and works to turn around the company. That broader effort has included $700 million in investment across the business, rather than specifically in the coffee unit.

Cahillane joined Kraft Heinz in January and paused plans to split the company into two. He said the company’s 2026 operating plan to turn around its U.S. business and accelerate international growth was on track. He also said its market share, sales and volume trends were improving in every region compared with the prior year.

Kraft Heinz also reported third-quarter earnings that topped expectations and raised its 2026 outlook. It now expects organic net sales to decline 0.5% to 1.25%. Its second-quarter report had projected a decline of as much as 2%, so the updated range points to a smaller expected drop. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2027.
