> Sales rose 2.4% year over year to C$1.035 billion, while reported basic EPS was C$0.18 and diluted EPS was C$0.17.

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. posted C$1.035 billion in third-quarter sales, up 2.4%, and C$0.36 in adjusted basic EPS, while expecting 2026 adjusted EBITDA near the bottom of its outlook.

The company’s previous adjusted EBITDA range was C$520 million to C$540 million. Maple Leaf Foods kept its mid-single-digit revenue growth forecast and expects capital spending of C$130 million to C$150 million.

Adjusted basic EPS, a non-IFRS measure, increased from C$0.21 in the year-earlier quarter. Reported basic EPS was C$0.18, while diluted EPS was C$0.17.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 15.4% to C$128.9 million from C$111.7 million. Its margin increased to 12.5% from 11.1% a year earlier.

Maple Leaf Foods cited renewed cost inflation in food production. “Renewed inflation in food production worldwide has raised costs and pressured consumers, particularly in the second half,” said Curtis Frank, the company’s president and CEO.

Quarterly earnings fell to C$22.3 million from C$43.1 million a year earlier. The company attributed the decline to earnings lost after it divested its pork operations.
