CompX International Inc.’s board declared a $0.30 quarterly dividend payable Dec. 8, keeping the per-share payout unchanged from August as the company posted higher third-quarter sales and net income.

The dividend applies to CompX’s Class A common stock. Shareholders of record at the close of business Nov. 19 are eligible for the payment. The board declared the dividend Wednesday, Nov. 4.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, net sales were $44.0 million, up from $40.0 million in the same quarter a year earlier. Net income rose to $5.4 million, or $0.44 per share, from $4.2 million, or $0.34 per share.

CompX makes security products, recreational marine components and custom metal fabricated parts. It operates at three U.S. locations and employs about 600 people.
