Barcelona-based Kabilio has raised €10 million to develop an AI agent for accounting firms, expanding its effort to automate routine tasks such as requesting missing receipts from clients.

Picus Capital and Visionaries Club led the round. Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI), Spain’s public technology and innovation agency, also participated. Both lead investors joined Kabilio’s €4 million pre-seed round a year earlier, bringing its total funding to €14 million.

Kabilio’s existing software reads invoices, suggests bookkeeping entries, matches bank transactions and flags unusual items for accountants to review. The planned agent is designed to gather invoices and bank statements, reconcile accounts and contact clients about missing records. Accountants will set instructions and decide how much work it can handle for each client.

Kabilio works with nearly 500 accounting firms, up from about 100 a year earlier. Several firms are already testing the agent, which is scheduled to enter beta in November.
