> The 20-year Kentucky project covers about 401 MW of IT load, with phased delivery scheduled from late 2027 through the second quarter of 2028.

TeraWulf announced Nov. 5 that Google will provide credit support for lease obligations tied to Anthropic’s planned Kentucky data center, helping the project seek long-term debt financing for a roughly $19 billion lease.

The 20-year lease, signed in July, covers about 401 megawatts (MW) of IT load at the Justified data center project. Google’s backing applies to certain lease obligations; it is not a direct payment of the lease’s roughly $19 billion value. The support is intended to help TeraWulf secure long-term project debt.

TeraWulf also signed an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with Fluor for the Kentucky project. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2027 and continue through the second quarter of 2028. Rental income is expected to be recognized after each data hall is delivered.

Separately, Coherent Corp. disclosed a five-year PhotonLink agreement valued at about $20 billion, with revenue tied to the deal expected to begin ramping in early 2028. Coherent generated $2.37 billion in fiscal 2027 first-quarter revenue, up 50% year over year and 56% on a pro forma comparable basis.

Data center and communications revenue was $1.952 billion, up 79% and equal to about 82% of company revenue. Coherent doubled internal indium phosphide capacity year over year and plans to more than double it again by the end of 2027.
