> Keel held only nominal Bitcoin at Sept. 30 and plans to sell newly mined coins in most cases. Proceeds will support liquidity, operations and expansion.

Keel Infrastructure Corp. sold 2,520 Bitcoin (BTC) in the third quarter, raising $192.2 million as the company moves away from holding mined coins and toward AI data center infrastructure.

The sale comprised 2,261 BTC Keel held as of June 30 and another 259 coins mined during the quarter. By Sept. 30, the company held only a nominal amount of Bitcoin.

Keel plans to sell newly mined BTC on a day-to-day basis in most cases. It expects the proceeds to support liquidity, operations and expansion.

The shift has changed Keel’s mining footprint. The company halted mining at its U.S. sites in the second quarter, while operations continue in Québec. Converting the Québec sites to data center use requires regulatory approvals.

Keel’s strategy follows a similar data center push at [Cipher Digital](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/23482>), which is positioning capacity for high-performance computing customers while retaining some Bitcoin mining activity.
