Payward, the parent company of Kraken, and clients of its asset-management business acquired an undisclosed amount of Aave (AAVE) through secondary-market purchases, expanding the firm's activity in decentralized finance and asset management.

The purchases involved Digital Asset Special Investments I, LP, an investment fund affiliated with Payward, as well as its asset-management clients.

Payward may continue adding AAVE to its holdings. Payward and Aave are also exploring possible cooperation.
