> The company also lifted its GAAP earnings outlook and narrowed its full-year revenue forecast after third-quarter revenue declined 4% year over year.

Teradata raised its 2026 non-GAAP earnings forecast to $2.86-$2.90 a share Thursday and narrowed its revenue outlook after third-quarter revenue declined 4% year over year.

The new non-GAAP diluted earnings-per-share range replaces the company’s previous forecast of $2.65-$2.73. Teradata also raised its GAAP diluted EPS outlook to $4.63-$4.67, from $4.43-$4.51.

The company now expects 2026 total revenue to decline 1% or remain flat, compared with its previous forecast of a 2% decline to flat. Its recurring revenue outlook is 1% to 2% growth, up from a range of flat to 2% growth. Teradata maintained its target for total annual recurring revenue growth of 2% to 4%.

Total ARR was $1.512 billion as of Sept. 30, up 1% as reported and 2% in constant currency from $1.490 billion a year earlier. Teradata defines ARR using the year-end annual contract value of active, contractually binding term contracts, including cloud services, subscriptions, recurring AI services, hardware rental, maintenance and software upgrade rights.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, revenue was $399 million, down from $416 million a year earlier. Recurring revenue totaled $359 million, compared with $366 million in the year-ago quarter. Non-GAAP diluted EPS was 70 cents, down from 72 cents.

Teradata President and CEO Steve McMillan said, “The increased pace of new product innovation and new AI service capabilities is driving positive interest from customers.”

The company’s non-GAAP measures exclude specified items and are not substitutes for GAAP results. Teradata also cautions that non-GAAP measures may not be defined consistently across companies.
