> The company says its liquidity plan generated $2.3 billion year to date as it works to bring distributable earnings and operating cash flow closer to break-even.

Ready Capital Corporation is targeting a $1 billion annual pace for Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) loan originations in early 2027 as it works to move earnings and cash flow toward break-even.

The company is also pursuing cost reductions and growth in other originations to improve distributable earnings and operating cash flow. Its stated aim is to bring both closer to break-even.

Ready Capital Chairman, Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer Thomas Capasse said the company substantially completed a balance-sheet repositioning and liquidity plan during the third quarter. The plan was laid out in the fourth quarter of 2025. “In the third quarter, we substantially completed the balance sheet repositioning and liquidity plan we laid out in the fourth quarter of 2025,” Capasse said.

The effort generated $2.3 billion in liquidity year to date. Over the same period, book value per share declined by $2.35 to $6.44. The company tied its $0.01-per-share dividend to preserving liquidity.

Ready Capital expects to have repaid $649 million in corporate debt after a November debt-maturity payment. The company also said higher interest rates have weighed on multifamily transaction volume and could push prices down 5% to 10%. Management said those conditions could delay loan takeouts and asset resolutions.
