> The Canadian brewer recorded a C$1.42 million net loss as sales volume fell 20.7% to 66,251 hectoliters.

Big Rock Brewery Inc. posted C$12.474 million in net revenue for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, down 10.4% from a year earlier as sales volumes weakened.

The brewer recorded a net loss of C$1.42 million, or C$0.06 per share, compared with a C$98,000 loss and a loss of C$0.00 per share in the year-earlier quarter. Net revenue was C$13.923 million a year earlier.

Big Rock sold 66,251 hectoliters during the quarter, down from 83,513 hectoliters, a 20.7% year-over-year decline. Contract volume declined 36.6%, while wholesale volume decreased 5.6%. Adjusted EBITDA swung to a C$473,000 loss from C$744,000 in income a year earlier.

Big Rock reduced its workforce by 23% in response to lower sales volumes. As of Sept. 30, the company was not meeting EBITDA targets under its agreement with ATB Financial and reclassified C$3.5 million in long-term debt as current.

The company amended its second-lien financing on Sept. 28. The interest rate is ATB’s bank rate plus 700 basis points, and the financing matures on the earlier of March 31, 2027, or third-party mortgage or operating-line financing.

President and CEO David Kinder said Big Rock is focusing on its warehousing and distribution revenue stream. “We have reduced our overhead and other costs in line with the lower revenues and expect these actions to deliver benefits in the future.”
