# Sirin Labs to launch FINNEY blockchain smartphone on November 29

The Swiss firm [raised $157 million](<https://www.econotimes.com/Sirin-Labs-attracts-157M-in-ICO-for-blockchain-smartphone-and-PC-1076200>) in its initial coin offering (ICO) last year and roped in football icon Lionel Messi as its brand ambassador. In July, the company [unveiled](<https://www.econotimes.com/Sirin-Labs-to-launch-FINNEY-blockchain-smartphone-in-November-unveils-final-design-and-specs-1401801>) the final design of the upcoming smartphone, which is priced at $999.

FINNEY, named after cryptocurrency pioneer Hal Finney, will come with an embedded cold storage wallet, a comprehensive and multi-layer cybersecurity suite, a Token Conversion Service (TCS), and a multi-blockchain DApp store.

Last month, Sirin Labs [partnered](<https://tokenpost.com/Blockchain-smartphone-maker-Sirin-Labs-partners-with-Scanetchain-to-create-new-paradigm-for-mobile-296>) with [Scanetchain](<https://www.scanetchain.io/>), an AR Dapp based on NEM platform. Scanetchain AR service app will be pre-loaded onto the FINNEY Blockchain phone, enabling “Scan to Search”, and allowing users to upload AR markers and matching data content direct from the FINNEY Smartphone.

In an [online post](<https://medium.com/@sirinlabs/deep-dive-into-purchasing-finney-with-fiat-and-crypto-23ec68aede9c>) dated October 23, Sirin Labs announced that it will allow FINNEY purchases via fiat and non-SRN crypto transactions. SRN token is the exclusive payment method to purchase SIRIN LABS products and services.

“Through both our website as well as within our physical stores we will be accepting SRN, Bitcoin, and Ether as valid forms of payment. Additionally, our London location will come equipped with a crypto ATM which will be able to convert Fiat into Bitcoin or Ether in order to make the purchase of their FINNEY using cryptocurrency a much simpler experience,” it said.

FINNEY will be available for purchase through Amazon’s United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany online marketplaces, adding that these markets will also serve as distribution hubs for the entire European Union.
