> Stefan von Haenisch says longer market access could improve liquidity and participation as institutions seek broader trading frameworks.

BitGo Managing Director Stefan von Haenisch, who leads BitGo Prime, says crypto markets should move closer to 24/7 access to meet institutional needs, arguing that longer sessions could strengthen liquidity and participation.

Von Haenisch has also linked broader access to what he describes as a token supercycle. His case centers on adapting trading frameworks to digital-asset markets and institutions seeking more robust ways to trade.

BitGo provides digital-asset custody and financial services to institutional clients, including trading services through BitGo Prime. Its Singapore business offers company-specific context for von Haenisch’s focus on institutional access. BitGo received a Major Payment Institution license in Singapore in Aug. 2024, after which its Asia-Pacific client base tripled.

BitGo Prime’s Singapore trading volumes more than doubled in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. Its Singapore desk is now BitGo Prime’s largest trading desk globally. These figures describe the firm’s Singapore operations.

CME Group provides another example of continuous access in crypto derivatives: its [24/7 Uniswap futures schedule](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/35156>) includes weekends. The schedule applies to those futures contracts; von Haenisch’s argument concerns broader market access.
