DeFi researcher Ignas said momentum among tokenized-stock meme coins in the Robinhood ecosystem is weakening as declining yields reduce incentives for holders and liquidity providers, according to a Sept. 23 PANews report.

The PANews report, which attributed the comments to a post by Ignas, said the total value locked in tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain had been flat for two consecutive weeks. The original post was unverified.

Ignas also said the number of tokenized stocks destroyed on Robinhood Chain had exceeded the number issued. He said a sharp decline in yields led him to exit liquidity provider positions tied to the tokenized-stock meme coins.

Liquidity providers, or LPs, deposit assets into trading pools to facilitate transactions in exchange for potential returns. Ignas said that if trading volume slows further, lower returns may weaken holders’ willingness to remain in the market, add selling pressure and cause more liquidity providers to withdraw. Those developments may further reduce available liquidity, he said.

Ignas said the market would need a new catalyst to recover momentum. He also said tokenized stocks on Solana appeared to be continuing to rise.

Some traders may be taking profits from Robinhood Chain tokenized-stock meme coins, Ignas said. He suggested that funds may be shifting from Robinhood toward Solana, though the report provided no supporting flow figures.
