Ether (ETH) fell 1.91% in one hour to $2,663 at 10:29 a.m. ET (14:29 UTC) Sept. 23, with long liquidations reaching $43.19 million.

The price declined from $2,715 one hour earlier. The price was measured in Binance’s spot ETH/USDT market.

Liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled $43.19 million for long positions and $690,000 for short positions during the same hour. Long liquidations occur when leveraged bets on higher prices are forcibly closed after the market falls.

Ether remains the second-largest crypto asset by market capitalization, at about $331.47301 billion.
