Crypto traders faced $225 million in liquidations over the past hour, with long positions accounting for nearly all of the losses across the market.

Long-position liquidations totaled $219 million, while short-position liquidations reached $6.62 million. The figures indicate that traders positioned for prices to rise made up the overwhelming share of forced closures during the period.

Ether (ETH) recorded $59.87 million in liquidations, the highest amount among individual assets. Bitcoin (BTC) followed with $57.49 million.

The one-hour total provides a snapshot of derivatives-market stress at a specific point on Sept. 23. Liquidation levels can change rapidly as crypto prices and leveraged positions move.
