# Crypto Traders Face $389 Million in Liquidations Over 12 Hours

Crypto traders saw $389 million in forced liquidations during the 12 hours through 9:15 p.m. ET Wednesday, with long positions accounting for most of the losses.

Long-position liquidations reached $352 million, while short positions accounted for about $37.5 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) recorded about $113 million in liquidations, the largest total among individual assets. Ether (ETH) followed with approximately $89.4 million. XRP, Zcash (ZEC) and NEAR recorded about $17.8 million, $12.5 million and $12.4 million, respectively.
