# Ether Long Liquidations Reach $26.05 Million in One Hour

Ether (ETH) long-position liquidations reached $26.05 million in the hour ending at 5:37 a.m. ET (09:37 UTC) Sept. 24, as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization fell 0.98% to $2,645.

Total Ether liquidations across the period came to $26.09 million. Short-position liquidations accounted for $40,000, leaving long positions responsible for nearly all of the forced closures.

The figures were compiled from publicly disclosed liquidation data on Binance, Bybit and OKX and cover those three exchanges only, rather than the entire market. Ether traded at $2,671 at the start of the hour before declining to $2,645 by the end of the period.
