# Crypto Traders Lose $73.17 Million in One Hour as Longs Dominate

Crypto traders had $73.17 million in positions liquidated across three major exchanges during the hour ending at 5:42 a.m. ET (09:42 UTC) on Sept. 24, with long positions accounting for nearly 98% of the total.

The liquidations covered 7,312 positions. Long positions, which are bets that prices will rise, totaled $72.03 million, while short liquidations reached $1.14 million.

Binance recorded $49.30 million in liquidations during the period, followed by OKX with $16 million and Bybit with $7.87 million. By asset, Ether (ETH) led with $26.10 million in liquidations, followed by Bitcoin (BTC) at $23.46 million and XRP at $5.62 million.
