# Quant Leads Top 100 Altcoins as Bitcoin Moves Toward $85,000

Quant (QNT) led gains among the largest 100 altcoins Sunday after briefly rising 75%, while Bitcoin (BTC) held above $83,000 and moved toward $85,000 in a market showing mixed performance across major tokens.

QNT climbed above $190 before retreating toward $160. The increase came after The Clearing House selected Quant for its On-Chain Money Initiative.

Bitcoin had risen above $87,000 earlier in the week before falling toward $83,000. After defending that level Friday, BTC rebounded to about $84,000 and remained near that mark Saturday before moving higher.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood at about $1.7 trillion. Its dominance over altcoins was 58.6%, while the total crypto market capitalization rose slightly to $2.910 trillion.

Other tokens posting notable gains included WLD, BTW, GRAM and GRAY. Zcash (ZEC) gained more than 8% over 24 hours and traded above $1,650. NEAR reclaimed $5 after rising 5.4%, while Solana (SOL) approached $125 after adding 3%.

Ether (ETH), BNB and LINK also recorded modest gains. XRP, DOGE and TRX posted small losses.

QNT previously posted the largest gain among the listed assets on Sept. 25, rising 38.39% to $98.02 during the measured 24-hour period.
