# Global Crypto Liquidations Reach $156 Million Over 24 Hours

Leveraged positions worth $156 million were liquidated globally over 24 hours, with short positions accounting for more losses than longs and more than 66,000 people affected.

Short-position liquidations totaled $84.4999 million, while long-position liquidations reached $71.4803 million. The difference between the two sides was about $13.02 million.

A total of 66,222 people were liquidated during the period.

Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for $3.2834 million in liquidated long positions and $11.4438 million in liquidated short positions. Ether (ETH) recorded $6.5872 million in long liquidations and $8.3026 million in short liquidations.

The largest single liquidation order was valued at $3.3472 million on Hyperliquid’s XRP-USD market.
