# XRP Ledger Payment Count Tops 1.1 Million, Above 30-Day Average

The XRP Ledger processed more than 1.1 million Payment transactions on Sept. 27, 2026, putting the Payment transaction count above its 30-day average.

The daily count stood at 1,143,754 payments, compared with an average of about 887,600. A broader snapshot also recorded roughly 2.7 million total transactions and 17,800 active accounts.

Payment transactions do not equal the number of people sending XRP. The transaction type can handle direct XRP transfers, payments involving issued tokens and cross-currency transactions that use order books or automated market makers.

As a result, the higher count may include activity from exchanges, wallets, automated services, token issuers and decentralized applications. The available figures do not identify one event, application or market participant responsible for the increase.

Automated market makers provide liquidity between two assets on the XRP Ledger. Cross-currency payments can use those pools or order books to complete a conversion, meaning a single payment count can reflect more than a simple transfer from one person to another.

The Sept. 27 reading offers a snapshot of ledger activity but does not establish a lasting trend. Additional daily readings, account data and information about the assets involved would be needed to determine whether the increase reflects broader network use or concentrated automated activity.
