# Crypto Liquidations Hit $33.48 Million in One Hour, 91% Shorts

Crypto traders saw $33.48 million in positions liquidated across three major exchanges in the hour ending at 1:17 p.m. ET (17:17 UTC) Sept. 28, with short positions making up about 91% of the total.

The liquidation count reached 3,875, including $30.57 million in short liquidations and $2.91 million in long liquidations. The figures were collected and combined from publicly available liquidation data on Binance, Bybit and OKX.

Binance accounted for $21.32 million of the total, while OKX recorded $10.08 million and Bybit recorded $2.07 million. By asset, Bitcoin (BTC) led with $14.01 million in liquidations, followed by Ether (ETH) at $11.50 million and Solana (SOL) at $1.49 million.

The tally covers only the three exchanges and is not a measure of liquidations across the entire cryptocurrency market.
