XRP gained about 5% between Sept. 16 and Sept. 27 as selling pressure appeared across spot and perpetual markets, while exchange outflows and positive funding supported the market outlook.

The asset’s spot cumulative volume delta fell from negative $2.27 billion on Sept. 16 to roughly negative $2.70 billion on Sept. 27. The move represented an expansion of about $430 million in negative volume.

Despite the worsening spot-market measure, XRP’s price rose roughly 5% during the period.

Spot flows offered a more supportive signal. Net outflows reached negative $17.11 million over the past 24 hours and negative $60.33 million over seven days. Negative netflow means more XRP moved off exchanges than onto them and may indicate accumulation.

Perpetual-market funding also stayed positive from Sept. 16 through Sept. 29, increasing from 0.0062 to 0.0081. Positive funding generally indicates that market positioning favors long exposure, although it does not establish that the positions will remain profitable.

The combination leaves XRP facing competing market signals: negative spot volume measures and selling pressure in perpetual markets on one side, with spot outflows and positive funding on the other. Continued spot outflows may help absorb selling pressure, while an overheated funding rate could put the bullish outlook at risk.
