> The wallet has sold 2,000 ETH for about $6.19 million and retains 1,000 ETH valued at roughly $2.67 million.

An early Ethereum wallet sold another 1,000 Ether (ETH) for about $2.68 million, bringing its total sales to 2,000 ETH as the asset posts its strongest Q3 performance in the current quarterly data.

The wallet originally acquired 3,000 ETH at an average price of $18.80, spending approximately $56,500. It has now sold 2,000 ETH for a combined $6.19 million and retains 1,000 ETH valued at roughly $2.67 million.

Including the remaining holdings, the position’s total profit is estimated at about $8.8 million, representing a 156-fold return on the original investment. That calculation includes the value of the unsold ETH and does not represent realized proceeds from the 2,000 ETH already sold.

ETH recorded a 69.7% gain in the third quarter, exceeding Ethereum’s 59.2% return in the third quarter of 2020. The gain followed declines of 29.1% in the first quarter and 25.3% in the second quarter.

U.S. spot Ether exchange-traded funds recorded $689.8 million in net inflows from Sept. 21-25, 2026, followed by another $17.1 million on Sept. 28. The $706.9 million combined inflow provides a counterpoint to selling by the early holder.

The wallet’s activity reflects profit-taking by an early Ethereum participant, although the owner’s identity has not been confirmed.
