> Bitwise’s NRR is the first U.S. spot ETF tied to NEAR, while the token rose from about $1.60 to $5.40 over the past month.

Bitwise’s NRR began trading Sept. 29 on NYSE Arca as the first U.S. spot exchange-traded fund linked to NEAR, opening a regulated market channel after the token climbed from about $1.60 to $5.40 in roughly one month.

The launch gives U.S. investors access to spot NEAR exposure through a listed fund, but it does not show that sustained fund inflows have already followed. NRR charges a 0.75% annual management fee and places its underlying NEAR into staking, targeting about 5% annual rewards. Bitwise retains 33% of those rewards, with the remaining two-thirds reflected in the fund’s net asset value.

NEAR’s recent rally also coincided with changes to the network’s economic model and increased use of NEAR Intents, whose cumulative volume has exceeded $32 billion. The protocol’s annual net income is estimated at about $20 million, while a 2.5% annual inflation rate would create roughly $150 million in new tokens against a market capitalization above $6 billion.

That gap means current fee-based buybacks offset about 13% of the token issuance implied by the inflation rate. The next concrete market measure is whether NRR records sustained net inflows after its launch, alongside continued activity on NEAR Intents.
