> Ether’s bullish-to-bearish comment ratio fell to 0.89, while XRP’s dropped to 0.67. Whale buying and exchange outflows offered separate market signals.

Social media discussions about Ether (ETH) and XRP turned notably bearish, with the ratio of bullish to bearish comments for each asset reaching its lowest level in months.

Ether recorded 0.89 bullish comments for every bearish comment, the lowest reading since June 7. XRP’s ratio fell to 0.67, its lowest since Aug. 17. A reading below 1 means bearish comments outnumber bullish ones.

Other market indicators moved in a different direction. Ethereum whales accumulated 60,000 units, worth about $162 million, over the past week.

For XRP, daily exchange outflows involving transactions of at least 1 million XRP topped 320 million tokens. Binance accounted for the largest withdrawals, while Coinbase, Upbit, Bybit and Bitget also saw large outflows.

A similar spike in XRP outflows in August was followed by a 42% price gain. The latest figures show a contrast between bearish online discussion and buying or token movement away from exchanges.
