> Net outflows reached 23,137 BTC through Sept. 27, while whale stablecoin inflows to Binance rose more than 40% over roughly six weeks.

Binance recorded 23,137 Bitcoin (BTC) in net outflows during the seven days through Sept. 27, marking the exchange’s largest weekly decline since June 2023 and reducing the BTC immediately held on the platform.

Binance’s Bitcoin reserves fell from about 704,800 BTC on Sept. 20 to 663,100 BTC in the latest reading, a drop of nearly 40,000 BTC. One recent day accounted for almost 14,300 BTC in outflows, following roughly 13,800 BTC the previous week.

At the same time, whale entities sending more than $1 million in stablecoins increased their rolling 30-day inflows to Binance from $21.7 billion around Aug. 15 to $30.5 billion by late September. That represents an increase of more than 40% and adds potential trading liquidity to the exchange.

Exchange outflows can reduce the amount of Bitcoin available for immediate trading, while stablecoin deposits may provide capital for crypto purchases. The two movements, however, do not establish that withdrawn BTC is being held long term or that the stablecoins will be used to buy Bitcoin.
