> The S&P 500 and Nasdaq indexes reached records Tuesday, while long-term Treasury yields hit their highest levels since 2002 and corporate shares remained under pressure.

The S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite and Nasdaq-100 reached records Tuesday as investors turned to Treasury yields, corporate earnings and media-company shares for the next market signals.

The 10-year and 30-year Treasury yields reached their highest levels since 2002. The two-year yield stood at 4.77%, keeping interest rates central to Thursday’s U.S. trading session.

The S&P 500 is up about 14% in 2026. The Nasdaq-100 has gained 23.4%, while the Nasdaq Composite is up 18.5%.

Several consumer companies will also remain in focus. Best Buy is down 12% from last month’s high, Macy’s has fallen 14% from its August high and Kohl’s is 20% below its December peak.

PepsiCo will report earnings before the opening bell Thursday. The stock has declined nearly 15% over the past three months and is trading at levels not seen since April 2020. CEO Ramon Laguarta is scheduled to appear during the 10 a.m. ET (2 p.m. UTC) hour.

Skydance co-CEOs David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz are scheduled to appear at 8:45 a.m. ET (12:45 p.m. UTC), after the company completed its merger earlier this week. Skydance shares are down 6.4% this week and about 14% in October.

Comcast closed Wednesday at $20.94, its lowest level since October 2013. The stock is down 36% from its February high and 25% in 2026.

Thursday’s session will bring earnings, executive appearances and continued attention to Treasury yields as investors assess the market’s direction after the recent records.
