Zcash (ZEC) rose 4.03% in four hours to $1,168 at 3:58 p.m. ET (19:58 UTC) on Oct. 8 in a spot-market calculation using the Binance ZEC/USDT trading pair.

The token was trading at $1,123 four hours earlier. Despite the short-term gain, ZEC remained down 12.10% over the previous 24 hours.

Zcash ranked 10th by market capitalization at about $19.46385 billion. During the same one-hour period, short liquidations totaled $670,000 across Binance, Bybit and OKX, compared with $20,000 in long liquidations.
